"The Children's Hour of Power" 3-DVD series for Ages 3 - 9, is based on Joffrey Ballet School's quintessential pre-ballet program. Developed by the great Dorothy Lister during her 25-year tenure, this comprehensive, movement-oriented program slowly progresses through age and skill levels. Each year reaffirms the last, drawing upon familiar concepts while incorporating more challenging ones.

Hailed by Dance Teacher magazine as "unique and inspirational," the series has been re-designed for a new generation of student and teacher and has sold in 23 countries throughout the world.

In addition to complete class notes, Miss Eileen's quirky quips (a downloadable "Quiptionary") and subtitled phrases are woven throughout the series creating a culture of interaction within the classroom that is key to keeping students focused and invested in the process (not just the product) of their dance experience.

Each of the center-based series is divided into three sections, "Explore Your Core on the Floor," "ABC Vertical Vocabulary," and "The Magic Mountain/Corner-to-Corner Train Station."

Ultimately, with body awareness and movement initiation at its core, "The Children's Hour of Power" is an invaluable resource for those who teach all ages and genres of dance for "Getting 'It' Right from the Start."

"A classroom must-have for all dance educators." --Sandra Coyte, CEO and Executive Director of Starbound National Talent Competition

"Brilliant, hilarious, and eye-opening!"  --Kristin Dexnis-Rosengrant, Ballet and First Steps Instructor, Alvin Ailey School

"I think it is very important for children to develop a respect and love for ballet at a young age and Miss Eileen inspires just that. These DVDs provide ideas and tools that are adaptable for any ballet teacher to use in their classes. Even the youngest of Miss Eileen's students show an understanding of proper classical ballet technique. Every student would greatly benefit from Miss Eileen's methods!" --April Leichtnam, Ballet Instructor Boston Ballet School
